Northwich Against Business Crime Objectives

Northwich Against Business Crime is committed to reducing crime, violence and anti-social behaviour through pro-active partnership working, improving public safety and promoting a safe environment.

Our objectives are to:-

reduce criminal activity
protect staff from acts of violence, verbal abuse and anti-social behaviour
minimise crime losses and generate sustained improvement of the trading environment
create a safer place to live, shop, work and visit.

Quality of life is an important factor for business success – crime and the fear of crime effects us all – our business, customers and staff. The increased mobility and anonymity of criminals and their ability to travel widely, means that there is need to develop crime reduction strategies that allow us to identify local and travelling criminals and manage their offending behaviour.

The partnership will:

share information about crime and suspicious activity
identify and exclude local persistent offenders
reduce opportunities to commit crime
reduce members’ losses caused by crime and anti-social behaviour
assist in the apprehension and prosecution of offenders

The formation of the NABC partnership addresses the need for a positive and co-ordinated response so that we can manage more effectively the threats posed by crime and anti-social behaviour. Our aim is to expand the partnership and strengthen working with the business community, police, local authority and other key agencies and thus ensure that our efforts are recognised as making a valuable contribution to the local crime and disorder strategy.
