Northwich Against Business Crime. - Information Exchange

Representatives from each member premise attend a bi-monthly forum where photographs and CCTV images can be exchanged and information shared about incidents and offences that have occurred in and around the area.

This is made possible by the data integrity agreement which each member business organisation commits to when joining the scheme. The agreement binds members to exchange information confidentially and in accordance with data protection regulations.

Police photographs of prolific offenders are contained within a Membership Pack of information about the scheme; the photographs are regularly reviewed and updates issued.

Each member submits reports of all incidents that occur within their premises. Information from these reports is collated and used by the partnership to support the issue of Warning and Exclusion Notices to prolific trouble-makers. An Exclusion Notice means that the person is banned from entering the premises of all members of the scheme. In other words, the Exclusion Notice scheme enables a ‘Banned from One – Banned from All’ approach to dealing with offending behaviour.
